The next morning, Aditi woke up to the warm sunlight streaming through the curtains, casting a golden glow on her face.
As she slowly opened her eyes, she felt two strong arms wrapped around her, pulling her closer.
She looked up and saw Veer sleeping peacefully in the sitting position, holding her tightly.
A wave of gratitude washed over Aditi as she remembered the events of last night.
She had once again faced the terrifying nightmare of her father abusing her, a memory that haunted her for years.
In her sleep, she had been screaming and thrashing around, reliving the trauma all over again.
But this time, something was different.
Veer had woken up to her cries and immediately pulled her into his arms, whispering soothing words in her ears.
For the first time in years, Aditi had found solace in Veer's embrace.
It was as if his love and warmth had chased away the demons that lurked in the shadows of her mind.
She felt safe and protected, a feeling she had long forgotten.
As she lay there, staring at her husband's peaceful face, a small smile tugged at the corners of Aditi's lips.
She knew that she was lucky to have Veer by her side, through thick and thin.
She gently tried to detach herself from his hold, but Veer stirred and opened his eyes.
"Aditi, are you okay?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.
Aditi brushed a stray lock of hair away from her face and met his gaze.
"Yes, Veer, I am okay. I'm sorry you had to sleep like this, holding me all night."
Veer simply shook his head, a look of determination in his eyes.
"It's okay, Aditi. I will always be here for you, no matter what. You don't have to face your demons alone, by the way from when you are getting these nightmares"
Aditi felt a lump form in her throat as she tried to speak.
"Veer, I. I've been having these nightmares since I was ten years old. Usually, I need to take medication to calm down, but last night. last night was different. Your embrace, your presence, it was enough to soothe me. Thank you."
Veer's expression softened, and he reached out to gently wipe away a tear that had escaped from Aditi's eye.
"I will do everything in my power to protect you and make you feel safe. You are not alone in this."
For the first time in a long time, Aditi felt a flicker of hope ignite within her heart. She knew that the road to healing would be long and difficult, but with Veer by her side, she felt like she could face anything.
"Okay now get ready, after breakfast take rest I know you didn't sleep well, and then in the evening it's our reception so take rest so in the evening you would not be tired."
He said and she nodded.
She got up but heard a groan from him.
"What happened?"
"Nothing"
"Veer tell me please did I hurt you somewhere?"
"I am fine aditi"
She saw him holding his arm, she held his hand and put up his sleeve, she got shocked to see the scratch marks of nails on his hands, then she saw nail marks on his neck too.
She cried seeing all this.
"I..I..am..am..so.. sorry veer"
She hiccupped.
He immediately cupped her face.
"It's okay baccha calm down, it's nothing for me, these marks are not hurting me but your tears are hurting me please calm down"
"Why are you so nice, when I am doing nothing only hurting you"
"You know aditi, for the world I am Veer Rajvansh, a cold, strict, arrogant, egoistic, heartless businessman but you make me veer, which is sweet, childish, and even naughty too."
He said with a wink making her blush.
"Now stop crying, already you strained yourself much from night by crying"
She wiped her tears and got the first aid box.
"Aditi, it is not needed."
"Sit quietly and let me do my work"
She ordered him, if anyone sees someone ordering Veer Rajvansh he will faint at the next moment. Till date nobody had the guts to order Veer Rajvansh. He himself chuckled at this thought. Of course his little wife can do it.
"It's done"
"Hmm, now go and get ready"
She nodded and went to the bathroom.
Veer was talking on the phone when he heard the sound of the door opening.
He looked up and his breath hitched as he saw Aditi, emerging from the room.
She was wearing a stunning purple dress that hugged her curves in all the right places.
Her long, flowing hair cascaded down her back, and the nuptial chain with Veer's name on it gleamed in the light.
The vermilion in her hairline added an extra touch of elegance to her already stunning appearance.
Veer couldn't help but feel a surge of desire as he looked at her.
He quickly composed himself as Aditi approached him.
"Veer, you also get ready now," she said, bringing him back to reality.
"Yeah, just wait for some time," he replied, heading to the bathroom to freshen up.
After a few minutes, Veer emerged from the bathroom, looking dashing in his black pants and white shirt.
Aditi's eyes widened as she took in his appearance.
He walked over to her, a confident smirk playing on his lips.
"Aditi," he called out, causing her to blush furiously.
"I know I am very handsome and all yours to stare at, and do more if you want," he teased, his eyes twinkling mischievously.
Aditi felt her cheeks heat up as she tried to deny his playful accusation.
"I was not staring at you," she stammered, avoiding his gaze.
Veer chuckled softly, knowing full well the effect he had on his wife.
"Don't lie, my dear wifey. It's okay, you can stare at your own husband all you want. It's your right," he said, causing Aditi to shyly leave the room, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
As Veer watched his wife retreat, he couldn't help but smile to himself.
