Chapter 2

Aditi woke up with a yawn, stretching her arms lazily as the morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow in the room. With a sudden jolt, she realized it was already 9:00 a.m.

Her heart skipped a beat as panic set in. It was her first day after marriage, and here she was, still lingering in the warmth of her bed.

Frantically looking around the room, she noticed the absence of Veer. Just as worry began to gnaw at her, the closet door creaked open, announcing Veer's entrance.

Aditi's breath caught in her throat as she laid eyes on him, dressed in a formal black tuxedo with a crisp white shirt that accentuated his devilish handsomeness. She found herself gawking at him, her jaw slightly agape.

Veer : Good morning, Aditi.

Veer's voice washed over her, pulling her out of her trance.

She averted her gaze, feeling a blush creeping up her cheeks.

Aditi : Good morning. Sorry, I got late.

she mumbled softly, unable to meet his gaze.

Veer's warm chuckle filled the room.

Veer : It's just 9, Aditi. You're not late. Yesterday was a tiring day for us, so it's natural to wake up late. I only just woke up half an hour back.

he reassured her, his tone gentle and understanding. A smile tugged at Aditi's lips, grateful for his comforting words.

Veer : Now, get ready quickly. After breakfast, we have to go for your admission to medical college.

Veer said, his eyes filled with pride and admiration for her.

Today marked Aditi's first step towards fulfilling her dream of becoming a doctor.

Determined and excited, Aditi rose from the bed and made her way to the closet. Her eyes scanned through the array of outfits, and she finally settled on a beautiful yellow designer netted saree.

It was her first day, and she wanted to adorn herself in something special, something that resonated with her hopes and aspirations.

With careful hands, she draped the saree around her, the fabric flowing like sunlight around her form. Her long hair cascaded down her back, adorning her ears with intricate earrings.

In her hand, she held the traditional red chooda a symbol of her new beginnings. The sacred mangalsutra adorned her neck, a token of her love and commitment, and the vermillion in her hairline adorned her with auspiciousness.

Meanwhile, Veer sat engrossed in his paperwork, the rustling of papers interrupted by the faint sound of Aditi's anklets as she approached.

Looking up, he caught his breath at the sight before him Aditi, resplendent in the yellow saree, a vision of beauty that stole his breath away.

She saw the admiration in his eyes, feeling a flutter in her heart.

Aditi : Veer.she called out softly, his gaze snapping back to reality.

Veer : Sorry...you're looking beautiful.

he finally managed to say, his eyes reflecting his earnest admiration.

Aditi : Thank you.

she replied, a shy smile gracing her lips.

Veer : Let's go. Dadi must be waiting for us.

Veer said, breaking the momentary spell they were under.

She nodded.

As they descended, Dadi's warm smile greeted them, they took her blessings, her eyes twinkling with affection.

Dadi : God bless you both. Aditi, you look beautiful. But Veer informed me that you are going to college for your admission. You should dress more casually, like a college girl.

Dadi remarked with a grin.

Aditi expressed her gratitude to God for having such an understanding husband and

Aditi : Dadi. It's my first day, Dadi, so I chose to wear a saree.

she explained, her voice tinged with modesty.

Dadi nodded approvingly.

Dadi ; Alright, no problem. But from tomorrow, you can wear whatever you like.

she said, causing a gleeful smile to spread across Aditi's face.

Dadi : By the way, breakfast is almost ready, but since it's your first day, as per tradition, you have to prepare a sweet dish. Can you do that?

Aditi : Yes, Dadi, I can do that. Show me what to make.

Dadi : good come I'll show you.

She nodded and went with her.

She quickly made kheer as a sweet dish.

They were sat for breakfast.

They tasted the kheer.

Aditi : how's it.

She asked nervously.

Veer ; it's very tasty.

Aditi : really.

Dadi : yes beta it's very tasty.

She smiled.

After breakfast,

Dadi : all the best for your admission.

Aditi hugged her.

Aditi : thank you dadi.

Veer : is anything left for me now dadi.

They chuckled.

Dadi : your husband is getting jealous.

Veer : very funny, let's go.

They nodded and left for college.

In the car,

Aditi : thank you.

Veer ; why?

Aditi : for everything, my dream is going to get fulfilled and for giving me such a beautiful family which I always dreamt of but never had.

He smiled.

Aditi : can I play a song?

Veer ; aditi don't ask for my permission for every damn thing, as it's my car it's yours too you can.

Aditi : sorry.

He stopped the car, she got scared.

She saw his hands coming towards her, she closed her eyes in fear ready to take a slap but instead she found her cheeks cupped.

Veer : aditi I know before marriage your life was hell, but I promise I'll not even cast a shadow of that hell to you now, you are my wife, wife of veer rajvansh. Never ever get scared of anyone even if it's me, promise me that you'll not get scared.

She smiled.

Aditi : I'll try my best not to get scared.

He nodded.

Veer : play what you like.

She nodded.

She turned on the radio.

"Breaking news, the famous businessman keshav Malhotra is going to be bankrupt, police had found liquor and drugs in his factories, his factories are sealed..."

Before it can say further veer turned off the radio.

He looked at Aditi who was looking shocked.

Keshav Malhotra is none other than her devil father.

She looked at him.

Aditi : how he got bankrupt, I mean till yesterday he had everything and now suddenly.

She saw a smirk on his face and her eyes got wide in realisation.

Her husband did this with him.

Aditi ; you...did this..

He nodded.

Aditi : why...

Veer : aditi your father is a bastard, he has many illegal businesses, till date no one interfered in his work and messed up with him but if he thinks nobody can then he's wrong, I broke his arrogance, Don't worry about your mother she will be fine.

She was dumbfounded by it. The thing which nobody had the guts to do was done by her husband.

She smiled widely.

Veer : your this beautiful smile was the other reason I did it.

She blushed lightly.

Aditi's heart raced with anticipation as they approached the institution, a symbol of her lifelong dream within reach.

Veer, sensing her emotions, gently held her hand, offering silent support and encouragement as they entered the college premises together.

Inside, the principal welcomed them warmly, impressed by Aditi's exceptional academic achievements that had secured her place at the top medical college in the region.

With pride in her eyes, Aditi completed the necessary formal

0ities for admission, feeling a surge of accomplishment and gratitude for the unwavering support of Veer.

After completing all the formalities, they moved out, her college will start after 2 weeks.
